Switching between iPhone and Android

Your Simran account works on both iPhone and Android, as long as you sign in a way that exists on both.

If you sign in with Google or email

Install Simran on the new phone, tap Log in, and sign in the same way. Your account comes with you. If Premium doesn't unlock, link the old phone (below).

If you sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple only exists on iPhone, so you can't open an Apple account on Android. Use Google or email on both phones instead, and link your subscription to that account from the iPhone.

Link your subscription from the old phone

Your subscription was bought through the old phone's store, so link it to your account before you switch. Do this while you still have the old phone:

  1. On the old phone, open Simran and sign in with Continue with Google or Continue with Email, the way you'll sign in on the new phone. If it's signed in another way (for example with Apple), log out first (Settings, Account, Log out). Your subscription stays on the phone.
  2. Tap the Me tab, then the gear icon to open Settings.
  3. Under Subscription, tap Link to this account. Simran confirms Linked.
  4. On the new phone, install Simran, tap Log in and sign in the same way. Premium unlocks. If it doesn't straight away, close Simran and open it again.

Link to this account only appears when the phone has a subscription that isn't on your account yet. If you don't see it, it's probably already linked.

Signing in with Google or email instead of Apple gives you a different account, so progress saved under your Apple account (streaks, notes, routine) stays with that account. Your subscription is what the link carries across.

Old phone gone, or stuck? Write to us with the ID from the bottom of Settings on the new phone (see Find your Account ID) and your store receipt (the Apple receipt email, or the Google Play order number starting with GPA.). We'll link it for you.

Billing stays where it started

An App Store subscription is still billed by Apple after you move to Android, and a Google Play one by Google. To cancel it later, see Cancel Simran Premium. You can manage either from any web browser.

Restore purchases can't move an App Store purchase to Android or a Google Play purchase to iPhone. Your account is what carries it across.
